Stuart: A Life Backwards

Just finished watching "Stuart: A Life Backwards". Well, good movie and all that, moving and interesting story, brilliant performance by Tom Hardy, Benedict was very cute <3...
BUT - what the hell was Mr. Hardy saying?!? Seriously, I maybe understood half of it, at the very most! God, I haven't wished for DVD subtitles this hard for a long time. *lol* So, sorry if I missed out on any important points in the movie due to that. :p

Right!? I'd seen the movie before buying it, in a d/lded file, and missed quite a bit of what Stuart was saying because Tom mumbles half his lines, so I was *praying* the dvd had subs - and I hate subtitles!
But the mumbling works really well for Tom's characterization of Stuart, so I can't really blame him for doing it that way xD

You're right, it goes very well with the character. But still pretty... tedious to listen to.

I'm halfway through that movie, and I too have great trouble with hearing what the hell he is saying! Still, very good acting...

Same with me.
But I think it worked pretty well with Tom's acting, so you can't really blame him.
(maybe re-watching will help a bit.)
It's a great movie nevertheless...and Benedict is so wonderful in it! ♥
(not to mention how handsome he is with those brainy specs. *g*)

Still need to buy the DVD...SOON! *awww*

I agree it was probably perfect for the role.
Still, I really would have liked to understand more of what he said. ;-) *gg* I wonder if native speakers do?

Not really sure if rewatching would help me with this. *lol* But I'll definitely will some day anyway. :D
