Nicked from [livejournal.com profile] spirited_lizard. :D

Go to page 44, of the current book you are reading, or a random book and type out the first 5 complete sentences at the top of the page.

"[...] Little knowing that you never had a happier moment in your life than when you got my letter."
"No, I say!"
"Bertie, be honest. You know you were delighted."
"I wouldn't say that."

- P.G. Wodehouse, "Thank you, Jeeves"

You know you were delighted.

*lol* never a good sign if someone has to be told how delighted he 'of course' has been

Hahaha. Probably not. ;D
I'm not that far ahead in the book yet, so I have no idea what he's supposed to be delighted about. *gg*

Ok, I admit I'm getting tired and this sounded like fun so here we go (am reading two books at the moment):

Sherlock snatched it from the tray. "For me? Thank you!" She smiled, and moved away. Sherlock looked around, half expecting Mrs Eglantine to materialize and snatch the envelope from his hand, but he was alone in the hall.

- Andrew Lane, 'Young Sherlock Holmes: Death Cloud'

- Karl May, "Das Vermaechtnis des Inka"

Yours sounds quite interesting *jots title down on booklist*

:D Be warned though that there are 11 books (this is the first one) and several short stories of the series. ;-)
I read all the short stories last year and enjoyed them immensely. :-) So now I'm finally starting with the novels.

And I love the "Jeeves & Wooster" TV series, starring Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry (I have yet to watch the last 2 seasons though). <3 Which was what got me interested in the stories/novels in the first place... ;-)
