Bookshelf meme
Seen practically all over my f-list. ;D
Can't you imagine a room without books? Are you also one of those people who, like us, when entering a flat you've never been in before, strides towards the bookshelves to take a look at them? And then spend the whole evening talking about this or that book and exchanging recommendations? And isn't it terrible, that there you'll never have a chance to take a look at the bookshelves of your LJ friends? Well, at least you could give them a chance to look at yours ...
I probably don't have half as many books as most of you... but still think that memes like this are quite interesting, so here we go. *g* Click on the photos to enlarge them and have a better chance to read the titles. ;-)
Most of the space in my living room is dedicated to my DVD collection. :p
Here are the few shelves I use for books though.

Tolkien stuff ;-)

mostly English books (left stack) and biographies related to Elisabeth of Austria

fandom books and game guides

this and that *g*
Ok, onto my bedroom then. :D

(behind the ASOIAF books are Harry Potter 1-4 and Moby Dick)

And a close-up without the plushies:

study books (well, mostly dictionaries)
And last but not least my small shelf. The books are in two rows here...
So, photos on the left: front row and photos on the right: books in the back. ;-)

my Terry Pratchett books (or most of them anyway *g*)

I have some more books in my little cellar, but couldn't be bothered to go down and take some pics (most of them are randomly lying around at the moment anyway *lol*). :p Maybe will add them in some other time...

Kennst du dann zufällig noch andere empfehlenswerte Rudolf-Bücher? Wenn ich mal so fragen darf. *gg*

Aber trotzdem danke. :-)

*lol*

Quite a few old friends here: GRRM, Kafka (though I don't have his letter, *want*), Hans Fallada, Orwell, Carroll ... And is it Godot I see in reclam-red? ;)

Glad you found some things you like.
And yep, it's "Waiting For Godot" (English). ;-) I also have another edition (not in the pictures) that includes the German, English and French version. I love that play. <3

I just read the book (several times though *g*) and have never seen it live on stage, sadly... But hopefully some time! ;D

Und Maria, ihm schmeckt's nicht. Da schleich ich auch schon wieder rum. Wie findest du das Buch? Und bist du evtl. bei Lovelybooks?
no subject
