Planning holidays is fun *lol*

Haven't posted for a while now. :-( Well, frankly there isn't much to post about....

I spent the last couple of days fervently searching the internet for cheap hotels and flights for London. Gosh, it really is much harder than I thought! You're definitely going to need a holiday if you're doing that for too long. *lol* ;-) Most of the appealing things are either already fully booked or way out of our budget... *sighs* We kinda settled on a hotel now, that is if we can still get it (there only seems to be 1 twin room or so left available). Will have another look around and try to find an alternative, just in case. The flight is still a bit of a bother though... Presumably I'll have to spend somewhat more than I wanted. *facepalm* But I guess it can't be helped then...

Oh, and another thing. Anyone here has any experience about travelling from London to Cardiff as a day trip?? I think we'd really like to go there (at least I'd absolutely love to! <3 *g*), if it isn't too expensive.

And on a totally unrelated subject, I have some photos from Sunday. The weather was gorgeous! :-) There was a small fun fair in the city, so we had a look around, and ate some ice cream too.

I love the last photos especially.

When are you planning to go to London (I'm so jealous!)?

Thanks. :-)

It will be the first week of August. Can't wait! <3

You can certainly do a day trip to Cardiff from London - it takes about 3 hours on the train. But, it might be expensive - unless you can find a good deal you're probably talking about £100 for a return. Going by coach would be cheaper, but would take a lot longer.

Thanks for the info!
Uff, that sounds quite a lot... :-( £100 per person or for both?

Well, fortunately we still have some time to think about it. ;-) I think it would be a quite spontaneous decision when we're in London anyway.

100 per person I'm afraid. Though, you can usually get cheaper tickets if you're buying really far in advance.

Ah, ok... Well, it'll probably be out of the question then. :-(
We wouldn't really want to buy it in advance, in case we don't feel like going then or just being occupied otherwise and not having the time...

London to Cardiff nearly round about 3 hours. Most of time on motorways. For a day trip, maybe a little bit to long to drive. But Bayside and Doctor Who-Exhibition are near by.

Wish you a lot of fun in London.

Well, first of, we don't have a car. ;-) So it'd be by train. Or by bus, but that takes even longer (though it's cheaper)...

But if the prices really are that high (we can't buy in advance), I guess we'll drop the idea... :-(
Ah, well. There sure is a lot to do in London anyway!! :D

Thank you! It's still a while till then, though (3.-9. August). ;-)
