This and that

Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] londonesque!! I hope you have a wonderful day! :-)

------------------------------

Obviously, I still didn't get around to post (or even write :p) my little Hamburg report... But will do so later today, or tomorrow at the latest!
------------------------------

I ought to be locked up and kept away from all shops in the future! LOL I always buy things that weren't planned, dammit! *g* ;-)
On Saturday I just wanted to browse through our two consumer electronics stores for a bit and I ended up buying 2 DVDs ("Burke & Hare" and "Inception"). Of course. :p
Today I was out to see if they already had the Primeval series 5 DVD (or "4.2", as it is called over here *rolleyes*), which will officially be released tomorrow. They did, so I bought it. *yay* Ok, that one was actually planned. But unfortunately they also had a good CD that was reduced to about half price, so I bought that one too. And then, when I was almost out of the "danger zone" so to speak... I saw this blouse and liked it a lot and just had to buy it as well.

So, now I'm pretty much broke again... Ah well, at least I'm used to the feeling by now. :D LOL

Oh, and a somewhat random question: Does anyone know why Benedict wasn't in the last episode (3x03) of Cabin Pressure?? Was it just this once or has he left permanently (God, I hope not!!)? I haven't listened to the episode yet in case it was explained there...

I don't know anything about Cabin Pressure but depending on when it was aired... he's currently filming three other Sherlock episodes and he's also voicing Smaug for The Hobbit... so maybe busy with other things? Dunno exactly though.

Deleted/Reposted to say: I just looked up the series and the castlist for ep. 4 lists him again. (and he's also voicing the Necromancer in The Hobbit - this project really starts to feel like a family reunion somehow). :o)

I just did a little "research" (haha) and apparently he lost his voice at some point. Someone on the IMDB board said that he was actually out for 2 episodes, but redid his lines for one of them.

Might well be, as he already sounded a little bit... different in the first 2 episodes, I thought. Glad he didn't leave for good though. \o/

Sounds like a sensible move then not to speak for some time... :o)

Thank you! Oh man, I want that cake now ;)

Benedict is still in Cabin Pressure as far as I know, I went to see a couple of epiosdes recorded with him in April, I'm not sure what order they're being broadcast in, but there was no indictation he was leaving. It was probably to do with his schedule, I think he was in Frankenstein when it was recorded.

Haha. It does look yummy, doesn't it? :D

Apparently he had had some problems with his voice, according to some people on the IMDB board... Might have had to do with time issues too, of course.
But he seems to be back next time, so hooray! \o/

That would make sense, I did hear the play took it's toll on Johnny Lee Miller and Benedict, it was very demanding. Did you ever get to see it?

[identity profile] luinalda.livejournal.com 2011-07-19 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Sadly no. :-( I probably would've tried if I lived in England, but unfortunately I live in the wrong country... *sighs*
Did you?

I ended up seeing it in a cinema, sometimes they'd show a live performance which was very good, except for the sound occasionally cutting out. ;) It would be a good idea if they released one of those recordings on DVD, there was such high interest in it.
