So, Spain is world champion. Congratulations!
I didn't really have a favourite. Both Spain and the Netherlands are good teams. It was a very interesting game, sometimes even a bit brutal, with many yellow cards and even a red one...
And it was actually the only game of this tournament that I watched even though the German NT didn't participate. ;-)

Oh, and our Thomas Müller is top goalscorer of this World Cup. ♥ \o/ He scored 5 goals in 6 games, that's quite impressive. :-)

Gosh, what a heat! According to my thermometer I have 30 °C in my room. *yikes* I just changed into my bikini. *lol* You couldn't possibly wear less, but still it's way too hot... *melts*

Finally, test week at school is over. Hurray!! Most of the tests didn't go too well for me, I'm afraid...
:-( Especially the orals, but actually I always suck at those, so nothing new there. *lol* BTW, whoever decided it would be a good idea to let us write an English essay on a Friday afternoon when it's incredibly hot outside, deserves to be smacked. :p *lol*

So, summer holidays now! YAY!!! <3 Which means that - apart from 2-3 days a week I have to work, and the Spanish presentation I have to prepare about Chile for after the holidays (Help! O_O) - I will have quite a lot of spare time over the next 6 weeks. \o/ That sounds lovely. Maybe I finally can continue watching some of my shows. ;-) I just realised that I haven't actually watched anything for nearly 2 weeks now (mainly because I had to study and it was too hot anyway)... O_O So time to change that, methinks. :D

I received a notification yesterday that I can collect my travel documents for our London trip from the travel agency. *yay* So I will go there tomorrow and get them. :-) Only 3 more weeks now!! \o/ I'm getting so excited!! <3 I'll start counting the days!! :D

Yay, our boys made the 3rd place of the World Cup!!! *does the happy dance* Won 3:2 against Uruguay today. \o/ So, CONGRATULATIONS!! :-)
It was a very good game again. They played so much better than against Spain!
The Uruguayan team gave us quite some frights with their goals though. ;-) But thanks to Khedira we got in the lead again in the 82nd minute and were able to hold it till the end. *yay*

Well... Of course I was hoping very much we would make the World Cup final.
But I guess deep down I already knew we wouldn't. :-( *is sad*

The Spanish team was so incredibly strong and played much better.

OMG, I just nearly had a heart attack because I thought my iPod had died!! O_O
I had to deliver a letter and wanted to listen to some music on the way... but it wouldn't switch on or do anything at all!! *yikes* WTF?!? I had only used it this morning and everything was fine, so I was kinda starting to panic. ;-) When I was back home I tried to reset it by pressing the middle button and Menu at the same time. And thank God, it worked!! \o/ Everything's back to normal now. *yay* :-)

OK, and now I'm getting ready for the football game. Gooooo, Germany!!!! :D

My female Purple Cichlid (P. pulcher) died today. :-(


I kinda saw it coming, though... She had been in pretty bad shape for the last week or so. Breathing a little more heavily than normal, hiding away, no longer coming out to eat... And the last couple of days pretty much just lying on the ground, not being able to move at all anymore since yesterday... Poor thing. :-((
So it's actually a bit of a relief that her torment is finally over.

I really have no idea what was wrong with her. :-( I only had her for one and a half years. *sighs*

At least I still have 5 of her babies to remember her by...

Was able to watch most of the game at work, so that was nice. :-)
It was a very quiet day to begin with, so needless to say we were pretty much deserted between 4 and 6 p.m... *lol*

So, semi final against either Paraguay or Spain on Wednesday! Looking very much forward to that! :-)
