Just watched Doctor Who 5x02 "The Beast Below".
I didn't love it as much as last week's episode, but it was still very good. Quite sad, though. :-( With 1 or 2 creepy moments, too. And I really liked Liz Ten, she was pretty cool. :D
Loved the hug between the Doctor and Amy. Awwww! <3
We see that crack from little Amy's wall again. Mhh, I'm wondering where that is leading to??
Just a quick note that I won't have a computer for a few days now and therefore can't be online... :-(
My laptop has been a bitch for several months now, with the monitor suddenly turning black every now and then. *argh* Apparently this has to do with the ventilator not being effective enough (anymore) and consequently the CPU getting too hot. *shrugs* So now I'll have my father and one of his work colleagues have a look at it. I really hope they'll find a way to fix it, because it's totally annoying!

New semester starting
Apr. 6th, 2010 07:23 pmWe got our marks for the English listening comprehension test. I have a 2 (83%). *yay* Which is better than I had expected, considering I had to guess some of the answers... *lol* :D
After going through the answers for the test, we listened to a short story (podcast). Read in Scottish accent!! ♥ I nearly squeed when our teacher told us beforehand it would be in Scottish English! Definitely couldn't help letting out a little "Yay!". :D Think I was the only one who was delighted, though. *lol* ;-)
There's just nothing better than Scottish accent. <3 *sighs*

"The Doctor will see you now."
Apr. 5th, 2010 08:06 pmJust finished watching the new Doctor Who episode "The Eleventh Hour"... and I absolutely LOVED it!!! <3 That was so much fun. :D
Matt Smith as Doctor was amazing!! :-) And I really like "Amy" as well.
The story was very good, although of course this episode was mainly about introductions.
The Doctor: "So, you okay, then? 'Cause this place, sometimes it can make people feel a bit, you know."
Amy: "I'm fine. Fine. It's just... there's a whole world in here, just like you said. It's all true. I thought, well, I was starting to think that maybe you were just, like, a madman with a box."
The Doctor: "Amy Pond, there's something you better understand about me, 'cause it's important and, one day, your life may depend on it: I am definitely a madman with a box."
I think I've made my peace by now with the new DW logo, but the new opening sequence and modified theme tune are still a bit strange... But I guess I'll get used to that as well. ;-)
Oh, and new TARDIS! Mhh, not sure yet if I like it or not... It definitely is different. A bit more colourful, with some weird gadgets (a typewriter?! *lol*). :D
Well, Ten will always be MY Doctor and I really miss him! ♥ But now I know I can look forward to and enjoy new episodes with Eleven. And the "Coming Soon" preview at the end looked very promising indeed. Yay! :-)

Happy Easter!
Apr. 4th, 2010 11:47 pm
Happy Easter to everyone! I hope you are having some lovely days with many colourful Easter eggs. :D
Today I spent the whole day at my parents'. My granny was there too. We started with an extensive breakfast and later had some biscuits for tea time. We also tried to have a little walk at some point, but where only out for about 20 minutes before it started raining, so we went back home again. Oh, and I got some presents: the book "Tintentod" (Inkdeath), a wellness shower gel and lots of chocolate. :-) In the evening we went out to a restaurant. I ate a sort of chicken+pineapple kebab with peanut sauce, rice and snow peas, which was all very yummy. Later we looked through some old photographs. That always is fun. *lol*

So, I'm off now to watch the miniseries. :D
So, I'm off now to watch the miniseries. :D
I SO didn't do anything yesterday. Was in bed until 2 p.m. *coughs* (I blame the clock change :p *g*), then spent most of the time on the Internet, and also watched "Bridget Jones's Diary" and episodes 3x01 & 3x02 of How I Met Your Mother (Yay me! *lol*).
First day of computer course wasn't that bad. We worked with Word today, and at least I learned a few hot keys. ;-)
I guess the next two days will cover Excel and Powerpoint, and then on Thursday we'll have some sort of recap and a little test.
Apparently my BSG Box was shipped today. *yay* So it should actually be here before Easter. I'm getting pretty excited about it! :D

School & Shopping
Mar. 25th, 2010 05:42 pmAnother beautiful day today. :-) I even was outside without a jacket, because it's quite warm. :D Seems like spring really is here at last. *yay*
I'm so glad that exam week is almost over again. ;-) Just one more day to go, with Spanish reading comprehension/vocabulary and English grammar + writing skills tomorrow.
Today we had our Spanish orals, which actually wasn't as bad as I had feared. *g* [And way better than my English oral on Tuesday... *lol*] We were in pairs again, and had about 10 minutes to prepare. First we had to talk a bit about ourselves (name + age, where we live, hobbies,...). Then we had a selection of topics (e.g. our last holidays, plans for the next weekend, our pets) from which we had to choose 2 or 3 and ask our partner questions about. And then there was a little picture story, where we had to describe the pictures and tell the story together. Oh, and also we were given a situation ("going to the pharmacy with toothache"), and had to do a short dialogue with it (one of us as the pharmacist and the other as the customer). Well, all in all I think it went alright.
Afterwards we had our English listening comprehension test. It was ok too, although I had to guess the answers a few times... *lol*
Next week we have 4 days of computer course (MS Office). I hope it's not only the very basics, because that could get a bit boring... But we'll see and hope it'll be fun nevertheless. ;-)
And the week after that already starts the new semester (wow, that half year went so fast!) with a new time-table.
Today after school I met up with my mum in the city and we did a bit of shopping/browsing together. It was nice.
I bought series 4 of "How I Met Your Mother". <3 I know I haven't even watched series 3 yet (I intend to start this weekend!!), but the price wasn't bad, so I couldn't resist. :p
And I finally had my first proper ice cream this year! *yummy* :D
Oh, and by the way, my LJ comments counter works again. Hooray!!
