I just watched "How To Lose Friends & Alienate People". A really good movie, very funny. :-) I totally enjoyed it. Simon Pegg was great, as always.
Of course the movie isn't exactly very profound and some of the jokes certainly weren't new, but it's still good entertainment.

Ich habe mir gerade "New York für Anfänger" angesehen. Ein wirklich guter Film, sehr lustig. :-) Hat mir total gut gefallen. Simon Pegg war wie immer großartig.
Natürlich ist der Film nicht gerade sehr tiefgründig und einige der Gags waren sicher nicht neu, aber es ist trotzdem gute Unterhaltung.

Yeah, it's good fun. :-)

The German title translates as "New York for beginners".
I've watched it in English though. ;-) As I always do, if I'm not forced to watch things on TV (where they dub everything into German)...

Ahh, thats a good name for it, from what i've seen in the trailer. Would the full title be too long to translate into German?

It's always better to watch things in their original language IMO, even if i can't speak it. Sub > dubs anyday!

I've always wondered this.. if you were to watch lots of movies in Germany that were dubbed, and they all contained the same actor/actress, lets say for example, Simon Pegg, would they use the same voice to dub his parts or use a different person everytime?

Mhh, could be the length. Or maybe they just couldn't come up with a good translation...
Some things just can't really be translated literally or it'll sound stupid. ;-)

Well, it depends with the voices... Some "bigger" stars mostly have the same voice in their films. Some others have almost a different voice in every movie...
I just checked for Simon as an example. *g* He has the same voice in "How To Lose Friends...", "Hot Fuzz", "Run, Fatboy, Run" and "The Good Night". And always another one in the other movies (Star Trek, Big Nothing, Shaun Of The Dead, The Reckoning...).
A good site to check is http://www.synchronkartei.de . If you click on "Darsteller" (means "actor") you can pick a name and see who dubbed them in what. ;-)

What's really stupid is when they change the dubbing voice within a series!
For example Bruce Willis in the "Die Hard" movies. He has the same voice in parts 1, 2 and 4, but a different one in part 3... *doh*
