Well, I guess the pictures (there's one of a woman character on the other side as well) are probably intended to make the books more appealing to fans of the TV series. It is a reprint after all and also has "Game Of Thrones - A new original series from HBO" written on the box and each of the books. And I don't mind the Sean photo at all (actually it gave me another inducement to buy this very edition *g*), because I'm a huge fan of his. ♥ ;-)
Ja, die Bücher gibt es auch in deutscher Übersetzung. Allerdings sind die um einiges teurer; da kostet ein einzelner Band 15€... Soviel habe ich für das komplette englische Boxset bezahlt. ;-)
