- As everyone keeps talking about it and says how much they love it, I now ordered books 1-4 of "A Song of Ice And Fire" on Amazon. It's a boxed set, looking thus:

I actually bought it at a local bookshop today first, but when I got home I checked Amazon and found that they sell it for nearly 9€ cheaper! So sure thing I ordered it there and I'm going to return the one I already have to the store on Friday. I only hope it's as good as everybody says it is. ;-) I haven't had a look at the Game Of Thrones TV series yet either, so I don't really know what to expect.
In any case, I have to finish my Wodehouse book first before starting with this series. Don't really have a lot of time to read at the moment... :-(

- I'm currently considering to maybe set my journal to "private" (except for memes or the like)...

Well, I guess the pictures (there's one of a woman character on the other side as well) are probably intended to make the books more appealing to fans of the TV series. It is a reprint after all and also has "Game Of Thrones - A new original series from HBO" written on the box and each of the books.
And I don't mind the Sean photo at all (actually it gave me another inducement to buy this very edition *g*), because I'm a huge fan of his. ♥ ;-)

Ja, die Bücher gibt es auch in deutscher Übersetzung. Allerdings sind die um einiges teurer; da kostet ein einzelner Band 15€... Soviel habe ich für das komplette englische Boxset bezahlt. ;-)
