English test
Sep. 18th, 2009 12:43 pmI just got my results for the English test I took on Wednesday. It was an entry-level test for the school I think about going to.
There was an oral (about 10 minutes of conversation) as well as a written part of the test.
The written test was divided into three sections:
1) Grammar and Vocabulary. (Partly choosing the right form from multiple choice, partly filling in the blanks with the right forms/words.)
I got 86% right. *yay* I'm a little proud. *g* I must confess that English grammar isn't really one of my strengths. ;-) Also was told that they usually have an average of 60-70% there, so not bad.
2) Text comprehension. (They gave you a little English text and you had to answer some True/False questions afterwards.)
Not too hard. ;-) Got full marks. 8 out of 8.
3) Writing. (They gave you some headwords and you had to write something about them. In English as well as in German.)
I got 7 out of 8 points here, which I'm quite happy with.
I kinda sucked in the speaking part though... Only 4 out of 8 points. I'm really a bit embarrassed about that. :-( I usually feel quite confident about talking in English, but I was just SO nervous then and started stammering a lot... *goes into hiding*
