London calling! <3

On Sunday I booked the flight and hotel for a little London trip in July! Wooo-hoooo!!! \o/
I'm sooo happy and excited about this! ♥♥ It's during the one and only week when we have time off from the training course, and I can't quite think of a better way to relax from all the stress than this. :D I also decided to go alone this time, because that'll make me more independent and free to choose what I'll want to see and do. :-) As a matter of fact, I already created a Word document and started listing things I might be interested in doing there. *gg* Still have a lot of time for collecting ideas though.

Haven't stayed at the hotel before, so I hope it's okay. I don't expect to spend a lot of time in the hotel anyway, so as long as it has some clean bed linen and a relatively clean bathroom I'm quite content. ;-) *g* It's definitely in a good area at least, somewhere between Paddington Station and Hyde Park - like the last times when I stayed in London. :-)

Anyways, that's where I'll be from 14 July (late evening) until 19 July (leaving early in the morning). *squeee* <3
If anyone of you should happen to be around during that time, give me a shout! Maybe we can do a little meet-up. :-)

Sounds great!! And wow, you're braver than I am, going alone. :P I want to go and see places, but I don't have anyone to come with me, so eventually I'll have to go on my own, right? But I'm kinda scared, too. I guess I'll just have to do it once, and then I'll feel better about it.

Fortunately I don't have a problem with doing things alone. Actually I'm even kind of a lone wolf and often prefer it that way. Be it going to the cinema/theatre or the like and I've also been on several up-to-one-week holidays on my own. :-) Like I said, you have more freedom of choice.
(Still I also love doing stuff with other people!! Don't get me wrong there. ;-))

But it definitely isn't everyone's thing and of course there are a number of disadvantages too. Maybe you could just try it with a short weekend trip or something one day? Sometimes it really is better to do something alone than to miss out on it altogether. ;-) *g*

Du hast aber auch ein Glueck. Ziehe Anfang Juni wieder nach Deutschland. Sonst haette ich Dir in Stratford-on-Avon meine Couch anbieten koennen. ;o) Falls Du Lust gehabt haettest, heisst das. So kann ich nur sagen: Ganz viel Spass in London!!!

Aber das ist echt typisch für mein Timing... *lol* (Anderes Bsp.: Einer meiner Lieblingsdarsteller hört, da ich ja im Juli komme, auch ausgerechnet im Juni bei dem Musical auf. *cries* ;-))

Oh, totally forgot about Olympics taking place shortly after tbh... Hope it's not too crowded then. ;-) (As if I'd notice. It is ALWAYS crowded anyway, isn't it? *lol*)

Super, dass du für London gebucht hast *freu*. Ich kenne die ganzen blöden Kommentare von wegen das sei doch kein Urlaub. Die Leute haben einfach keine Ahnung was gut ist. Ich hab keinen Bock stundenlang in der Sonne zu brutzeln - das wäre nichts für mich.

Schade nur, dass dein Tripp mit dem Hugh Laurie Konzert zusammenfällt :(

Danke! London (bzw. auch UK allgemein) ist und wird einfach für mich immer mein Traumurlaub bleiben. <3
Mit Strandurlauben konnte ich auch noch nie wirklich was anfangen. Schon gar nicht wenn ich auch noch irgendwo alleine hinreise...

Du sagst es! :-( War ja mal wieder klar, dass er von den 53 Sonntagen im Jahr natürlich ausgerechnet an DEM EINEN nach Hamburg kommt, wenn ich nicht da bin... *headdesk* Hätte das nicht eine Woche früher oder später sein können?!? Menno! Aber neeeiin, ist ja mal wieder echt typisch für mein "Glück"... *lol*
