- So, yesterday it was time for our visit to the Rocky Horror Show in Hamburg. And it was just So. Much. Fun!!! :D The audience participation was just awesome! During the rain scene I actually thought that they had set of the sprinkler system (or maybe they had, who knows *g*), because it felt even more wet than the rain outside. *lol* The toilet paper and confetti throwing was great too. *gg* And I think everybody was on their feet during "Time Warp". :-)

I had hoped to see Rob Fowler as Frank 'N' Furter, but sadly he wasn't playing (apparently he had just been on holiday) and we had his cover, Matthew McKenna, instead. But Matthew was really great (and quite cute *ahem*)! As a matter of fact, the whole cast was very good. :-)

I felt a bit sorry for Sky Du Mont, who was the narrator, though. There were a couple of idiots people who yelled things like "Boring!" and "Get lost!" everytime he got on stage to do his thing... Ok, it probably really isn't the most interesting part of the show, but the narrator is still part of the show and movie - so get over it! But I don't think Sky was bothered too much by it anyway and he also had one or two good repartees ("You only have to listen to it once, but I have to do this every day." *gg*). ;-)

The Deutsches Schauspielhaus is really beautiful, btw. :-)

- It was back to school today. Six weeks of holiday just isn't long enough, is it? :p I really had to force myself out of bed this morning. *sighs* But the first day wasn't actually that bad.

- I should finish season 2 of Warehouse 13 tonight (I only have episode 2x12 and the Christmas one left). *yeah* And then I can start catching up on season 3. :D I'm really very much in love with the show by now. <3

- It's my cat's 1st birthday in exactly one week. \o/ Just sayin'.
luinalda: (London - telephone box)
This is a kind of musical theatre special. :D

Basically just some pics of the London theatres I've been to so far. Which I realised weren't really that many yet... Well, I'll try to work on that the next times I'm in London. ;-)

My father is going to present my mother with tickets for the new Rocky Horror Show tour (which premieres tonight in Cologne) for her birthday and invited me to come along. \o/ Yeah, baby! :D I bloody LOVE the movie so much. <3 But I have never seen the show live before, so I'm quite excited about it! I booked the tickets yesterday for 14 August in Hamburg. I'm really looking forward to it. :-) The theatre (Deutsches Schauspielhaus) looks very posh, too!

Also, thanks for the v-gift, [livejournal.com profile] caesaria! I'm looking forward to tomorrow. :D (And am getting a bit nervous already...)

Today I was in the theatre to see "Crazy For You" again. \o/ This was my third time. :D

Read more + a couple of pics )

Oh, and during intermission there was this guy standing near me who I swear looked exactly like Moss from The IT Crowd! :D Hair, glasses, and everything. It was quite spooky. *lol* I seriously considered taking a picture, but didn't dare because I think it would have been too obvious. Haha.

And to finish this post, have a night shot of our opera house.

Update...

I really WANT to update more often, but actually never have much to tell... :-(

Many thanks for the v-gift, [livejournal.com profile] baka_yu. It's adorable! <3

On Wednesday I went to the theatre and saw "Crazy For You" again. Still very funny show! :D I enjoyed it so much once again. I especially like the scene with the two drunk Zanglers ("What Causes That"). *lol* Also, the songs are really growing on me. Usually this kind of... let's call it "classical" musical songs (in this case Gershwin) aren't quite my cup of tea, but some of these are really catchy. :-)
Unfortunately I had no luck with meeting Jens at the stagedoor afterwards. Also would've liked to see Karin. But, frankly, I only waited for about 20 minutes, because a) I was the only one there which always makes me feel highly uncomfortable *is very shy* ;-) and b) it was quite cold... Ah well, maybe will try again another time. Definitely going to see the musical again in March if I can get tickets, methinks. :D

Had to work yesterday and today, but on the plus side: I have tomorrow off! \o/ Yay for free saturdays!! :-) They are rare enough for me... *sighs*

Finally found the time to start with season 2 of Supernatural this week. \o/ Still loving this show!!! :D
But I have the feeling that I had seen at least 2 scenes before... The first one was in 1x22 "Devil's Trap", near the end when the boys and John get back to that motel room and John then "goes demonic". And the second one was in 2x02 "Everybody Loves A Clown", when they walk into that tent and Dean unknowingly asks the blind man if he had seen Mr. Cooper around + the short, quite funny dialogue that follows.
Weird. *g* Must have zapped through them when they were on TV or something. ;-)

I think the only shows I'm actually up-to-date with are White Collar, Primeval and The Big Bang Theory. *lol* Which are all fantastic by the way! <3 But God, there is sooo much else to catch up with... *help* ;-) *g*

Today I went to the theatre. Again at last, after 11 long months without a visit. *sighs*
I watched the play "Sechzehn Verletzte" ("Sixteen Wounded") by Eliam Kraiem.
The play only needs one scenery (the inside of the bakery) and 5 actors. Despite the quite serious subject there are some moments to smile or even laugh from time to time. Nevertheless the end is kind of dismaying and leaves you pensive for a while.
I especially loved Marko Gebbert, who is my favourite of the ensemble and frankly was the reason I wanted to see this play in the first place. *dumdidum* ;-) But Siegfried Kristen was very good as well, as were the other three actors (Claudia Macht, Jennifer Böhm, Stefan W. Wang).
I really liked it a lot. :-) As this was the last performance I'm really glad that I had the chance to see it.
