Ok, and part 2. :D

Musée du Louvre
I had been outside the Louvre many times (and even once or twice in the entrance hall under the pyramid), but in 2002 I finally made a proper visit. \o/ It's a great place and there is soooo much to see: paintings, sculptures, archaeological finds... *phew* Unfortunately I was only there for a couple of hours, so I probably didn't even get to see half of it. Definitely need to go again whenever I'm back in Paris!

If you're looking for the Mona Lisa, you just have to find the place where most people are standing around... ;-)

The Mona Lisa is actually a rather small painting and protected by bulletproof glass. I think it's overrated anyway and find it quite dull. :p And there are many much nicer paintings in the Louvre. But there you go. Probably doesn't hurt to have seen it at least once. *gg*

Cimetière du Père-Lachaise
I always had a thing for cemeteries, so during my Paris trip in 2004 I went to see Le Père-Lachaise. And I absolutely LOVED it there. <3 It is really huge and very quiet and peaceful. Many of the graves are actually quite beautiful. You can get a map with the most important/famous graves at the entrance, which is very helpful if you don't want to wander around endlessly or get lost. ;-)

And I really want to go to Paris now! Awwww...
I've never been to the Louvre. And there are so many brilliant things to see.

Thanks!

Yeah, sorting through all the photos really made me want to go back too!! But I don't see that happening anytime soon, because no money, no time... :-( *le sigh*

Lovely pics again! I mainly stayed in the Egyptian section in the Louvre, and I know what you mean about the Mona Lisa, I wasn't that impressed either! *g*

The Cemetery is definitely somewhere I want to go the next time I'm there.

I tried to see a bit of everything in the Louvre. But there is just so much...

You should definitely check out the Père-Lachaise if you like that kind of thing. It's lovely!
