Oct. 22nd, 2009 12:25 amNot much going on during the last days. School was alright.
Today I went to the city to buy a birthday present.
Also nothing really planned for the rest of the week, apart from working on saturday...

I have a new wallpaper on my computer since sunday.

One of my favourite SGA promo pics. ♥
I guess I might be a little obsessed at the moment... :D

Just returned from the cinema.
"Up" is a great movie!
I really loved it. :-)
I laughed, I cried...
Fantastic animation, lovely characters, beautiful music, charming story, as well as some action.
What more could you wish for? :-)
The preceding short film "Partly Cloudy" was also highly enjoyable. *g* Very cute! :-)

Still have some homework to do, so I won't be bored this evening. *gg* Also am going to watch the NCIS and Criminal Minds episodes on TV and maybe some DVD afterwards.

They are showing the new Pixar movie "Up" in the original English version in our cinema tomorrow. Think I'll go and watch it.

Haven't read the book yet, but will definitely do soon.

Can't believe I'm already two weeks into my training as bi-lingual office assistant now. I'm really enjoying it. :-) The teachers are very nice, as are the other students. The amount of homework so far is alright.
I think most fun so far have been the "Speaking" lessons. Oh, and the teacher is rather cute. *whistles* *g* Pity he'll go back to England in march. ;-)
The first time we had the scenario of 11 people surviving a plane crash, but there's just the one lifeboat which can only rescue 4 of them. We were given some background info on each person, and then had to discuss in groups which 4 of them we wanted to rescue. We had some good laughs, as some ideas were a little weird or macabre. *lol*
In the second lesson we had to walk around in class and talk to each other about one of our holidays, which ended in some sort of "speed dating", because we were running out of time. *gg* 4 of us were supposed to lie (reads: make a holiday up) and the others were supposed to describe a true holiday of theirs, and in the discussion afterwards we had to find out who was lying.
Most difficult subject for me definitely is "Grammar". I just HATE English tenses... *horror*
The rest of the English subjects are: "Reading comprehension", "Vocabulary & Phonology", "Listening comprehension" and "Writing skills".
In Spanish I'm getting along very well. I think that's mainly thanks to the 4 years I already had Spanish at school and university. We're still doing the basics, so apart from some vocabulary I don't know or remember, I don't have any problems yet. But that might possibly change sometime later. ;-)

Today it was raining heavily on my way back from school. Of course I didn't have my umbrella *doh*, so when I got home I was absolutely soaking wet... I HATE that! :-( I did actually plan to do some grocery shopping later, but I really don't feel like going outside again. I'll have to do it tomorrow after work then.

Just finished watching the movie "Nothing".
Mhh, what to say? It was a little weird... *gg* But I actually rather enjoyed it. There are some bizarre and unique ideas in it. Some funny moments. I found the "wishing-each-other-away" scene a little gross, though. ;-)
David was awesome, as always, and I really liked Andrew Miller's performance as well. :-)
Oh, and I don't think I really got the end (the "Ten years later" scene after the credits). *ponders* So if anyone has a good interpretation, let me know. ;-)
Dave: "The nothingness looks, feels and bounces like tofu... which, ironically, tastes like nothing."
