Our next holiday destination was Liverpool.

Liverpool, 24.07.2009

The pictures )

We arrived in Liverpool at around 4 pm. We stayed directly in the city on a small 24-hour car park.
Well, we are Beatles fans. So our first place to go was the Cavern Club. ;-) There was some live music, so we had a drink and listened for a while. Then we walked around the city centre a bit and had dinner at a restaurant.
The nightlife was very interesting. Lots of oddly dressed people. *g*

Since so many people are doing this... Nicked from [info]kerry_louise.

1. Post a list of up to 20 books/movies/anime/TV shows/video games/bands that you've had an obsessive fannish love or interest in at some time in your life.

2. Have your f-list guess your favorite character/member from each item.

3. When someone guesses correctly, strike through the item and put the name of your favorite character next to it.

1. The Lord Of The Rings
2. The Big Bang Theory
3. Will & Grace
4. Doctor Who -- 10th Doctor (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] arielen)
5. Torchwood -- Captain Jack Harkness (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] arielen)

As I already mentioned, we visited the "Doctor Who - Up Close" exhibition at The Red Dragon Centre when we were in Cardiff Bay on July 23rd.

It was a nice little exhibition. We spent about 1 hour there.

The second day we spent predominantly in Cardiff Bay.

God, just how awesome is Cardiff Bay?!! ♥ Now definitely one of my favourite places! :-)
The weather was absolutely marvellous! Blue sky and very warm, one of the finest days of our holidays actually. We walked (!) the whole way from the camping site to the Bay and back (with a detour to the city centre too). *uff* In the Norwegian Church we had drinks and a little snack, which was nice.

We also visited the "Doctor Who - Up Close" exhibition in the Red Dragon Centre. But I will upload the pictures in a seperate post. ;-)

Next are the pictures of our first day in Cardiff.

Cardiff, 22.07.2009

We arrived in Cardiff at about 11.30 am. The camping site was fully booked, but we were allowed to stay on the parking area outside. The city centre was still in good walking distance from there, I think it took about 20-30 minutes to get to the castle.

I realised that I never continued with posting my summer holiday report... :-(
I don't really have the time or motivation for it at the moment, to be honest. But I thought I might at least share my photos.

So here we go. First one is:

Bath, 21.07.2009

The pictures )

We spent about 4 hours in the city. It started raining very heavily in the end (as you can see in the last pictures), so we left a bit earlier than we had planned.
It is a very nice city. Unfortunately we didn't really have the time to properly visit the museums and attractions, but we had some good looks from the outside. *g*

In Bruges

This evening I watched "In Bruges".
Loved it! :-) A very funny dark comedy, with great dialogues and some action thrown in. And lots of the f-word. *lol*
Superb cast, cool story, beautiful setting.

Ray: "Maybe that's what hell is, the entire rest of eternity spent in fucking Bruges." :D

We had to read a book or watch a movie for our "Reading comprehension" class tomorrow, so this will be my contribution. *g*

Scanners 2

Oct. 29th, 2009 11:05 pm
luinalda: (Sheppard & McKay)

Watched "Scanners II - The New Order" today.

I have never seen the first Scanners movie, so I was a bit confused at first and didn't understand some things.

I definitely only watched this for David, because it didn't seem like the kind of movie I'd enjoy. And I was right. ;-) *g* It was ok, which means not as bad as I expected . But it wasn't really a good movie either, at least not for my taste.

But it had a very young David. *awwww* With an interesting hairstyle :D
