So Kiel Week (Kieler Woche) officially started today.
Here's what I hate about Kiel Week:
1) Traffic. It doesn't actually annoy me that much that there is probably more traffic than usual, but that I can't drive the ways I want, especially in the evenings. Well, I guess technically I could... ;-) But it's a lot more tedious and slow, so I rather drive a slightly longer way to avoid the crowded area.
2) Crowds. Yep, there are always far too many people in the city for my liking. Sorry. :p I like to walk quite fast when going from A to B and this just isn't possible anymore at the moment...
3) The weather. *lol* Ok, I realise that it isn't actually really Kiel Week's fault... But can it really be just coincidence that it always rains most of the time during Kiel Week?? :p

What I really like about Kiel Week though is that there are lots of concerts for free. :-) Ok, I'm mostly only interested in 1 or 2 of them each year, but it's the thought that counts. :D *gg*
Please keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't rain Wednesday evening, because MerQury will be back then! \o/

Watched Simon Amstell's stand-up program "Do Nothing" on DVD yesterday. It was really good! :D Although a bit short maybe (60 mins.). ;-) And there was just so much I had heard on Grandma's House before... *lol*

OMG, it's that time of the semester again... There will be tests at school from Monday on for 2 weeks! O_O Nooooooo! *panics* The only upside is that afterwards we will have holidays until 14 August... I don't have any plans for them though, basically because I have NO BLOODY MONEY! *headdesk* :-((

I'm doing a Snack Exchange with fantasy_bubbles, btw. So cool! :D I started buying the sweets today and it's just so much fun to choose them. I might get carried away with it a bit... *lol*
I will post a picture of what I sent her after she receives the package, because I don't want her to see beforehand. ;-)

Well, maybe this doesn't exactly count as "holidays" as I've never been to Hamburg for more than one day in a row... ;-) *g* But I've been there countless times for shopping, meeting friends and visiting musicals/concerts/whatever.
I really like the city a lot. :-)

Unfortunately they are a bit expensive and there aren't nearly as many available here as I saw in London, but I'm trying to build up a little collection nevertheless.

Right, and now I'm off to watch the last 3 episodes of Grandma's House. It's not bad; some really good lines there. Simon's cute in it anyway. ;D And according to Wikipedia a second series has been commissioned, so yay!

After that I'll probably watch the latest White Collar episode or Primeval (I'm 3 episodes behind atm). Or both if I have the time. *g*

- Public holiday today (Whit Monday). Mmmhh. Don't know why I felt like it's Sunday the whole day... I met up with my parents for a little walk and a coffee.

During my summer holidays 2008 I visited my friend in Berlin for a couple of days. :-) Besides visits to the Pergamon Museum, the musical "Elisabeth", the cabaret "Die Stachelschweine" and several shopping sprees, we also went to the Zoologischer Garten Berlin (Berlin Zoological Garden).

I actually took about 200 photos there (Oops! *gg*), so it wasn't that easy to narrow them down to just 40 41... But here we go. :D

Looking through my photos I realised that I actually never really took that many pictures there though (or mostly only of the same things *lol*). Not even sure why...

I'm going to post my zoo photos in a seperate entry, because I think otherwise this would get too long...

- I just registered for the 6km run of the Kiel.Lauf on 11 September! Yeah, I don't know what came over me either. :p *lol* I actually wasn't out jogging at all since... well, June or July last year, I think. O_O Haha! Really need to get into it again soon, I guess. ;-) But this is about the distance I ran back then, so it should be doable... Btw, not counting that one teeny-tiny junior triathlon I did when I was young (in my teens? I don't really remember...), this will be the first official sports event I'm actively participating in! Quite exciting! :D

- I think I'm finally rid of my neck problems. Hooray! \o/ Or at least for now...

- I'm going to see "Crazy For You" again on Sunday. <3 *yay* Unfortunately it'll be the last time though. *sniffles* Apart from Sunday there are only 2 more dates for it this month (both of which I can't go to) and then it's run at our opera house closes. :-(

- I'm officially in love with Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Simon Amstell right now. <3 I had only seen a couple of random NMTB episodes before, on account of some of the guests, and always really enjoyed it, so I started watching the show properly last week. Amstell's time as host (series 19-22) that is. I know many people don't like him and/or prefer Mark Lamarr (who I don't know)... But I think Simon's great! Deal with it! :p
I definitely need to make some space for some of the awesome NMTB icons that miss_jaffacake made (yours are the best!). :D I think with icons of my favourite quotes alone I could use up at least half of my total icon space... *lol*

Just watched the latest White Collar episode, "On Guard"... And am majorly heartbroken! :'-( 
WTF is going on?? Why do my shows hate me this much all of a sudden? First H5-0, now you too, White Collar... Thanks a bunch. Please, please FIX THIS!!!

I'm off now to watch some Never Mind The Buzzcocks to try and cheer me up a little again... *sobs*

Finally saw the Hawaii Five-0 finale just now. And all I'm actually able to say at this point is... OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD!!!! I. Don't. Even... So much happening! And not much of it on a positive side for the team... What a mess! OMG!! O_O Show, why are you doing this to me?!? I think waiting for season 2 will kill me!! AHHH!

In other news: I think my neck is slightly better. Still not back to normal, but I can move my head around a bit more freely again. So yay! I guess. *lol* I hope it keeps improving.
