I've been to Stuttgart twice so far, both basically to see some musicals. :D *g* But it's a lovely city and I'd really like to go visit again someday. :-)
My visit in 2005 was actually a stopover on my way back home from Alicante, so several of my Stuttgart pics from then are lost too, sadly. :-( I'm more than grateful that at least all my Elisabeth and Mamma Mia stagedoor photos survived intact! \o/
( this is Stuttgart )
I don't know why or how, but I must have somehow strained my neck because since yesterday evening it pretty much hurts with every movement of my head, especially to the right side... NOT cool! Don't really know what to do about it either... :-(
Watched "Friends with Money" the other day. Mmmhh. I'm sorry to say it, but that movie was really boring! It didn't even help much that Scott Caan and Jason Isaacs were in it, because Scott's character was quite a douchebag and Jason kinda "disappeared" after a while... Ah well, at least they were nice to look at. ;D *lol*
In TV news: I'm still 3 episodes behind with Doctor Who (it is on hiatus now, right?) and haven't watched the two series 5 Primeval episodes yet. Also didn't yet dare to watch the Hawaii Five-0 finale, because I heard it is quite heart-breaking... And of course there are some other shows as well, so I really got a lot to catch up with! ;-)

The first time I visited Rome and Pompeii in 1999 with my school class. Unfortunately I don't have the photos on my computer, because I didn't have a digicam back then...
In 2000, the "Great Jubilee", I was in Rome and Pompeii again, this time with my parents. Still didn't have a digicam, but my dad did. ;-) I actually thought that we took more photos than this, but apparently I was mistaken as I didn't find any more anywhere. Ah, never mind.
( Avanti! )
So, in addition to my two Paris picspams, here are my Versailles photos. Kinda belongs together, right? ;-) *gg*
I've been there twice and it's very beautiful. :-) The first time (2002) I only walked through the gardens, because we didn't have that much time and the queues to the palace looked rather long... The second time (2004) we only visited the palace. So combining the pics there is a bit of everything. :D

Ok, and part 2. :D
Musée du Louvre
I had been outside the Louvre many times (and even once or twice in the entrance hall under the pyramid), but in 2002 I finally made a proper visit. \o/ It's a great place and there is soooo much to see: paintings, sculptures, archaeological finds... *phew* Unfortunately I was only there for a couple of hours, so I probably didn't even get to see half of it. Definitely need to go again whenever I'm back in Paris!

Cimetière du Père-Lachaise
I always had a thing for cemeteries, so during my Paris trip in 2004 I went to see Le Père-Lachaise. And I absolutely LOVED it there. <3 It is really huge and very quiet and peaceful. Many of the graves are actually quite beautiful. You can get a map with the most important/famous graves at the entrance, which is very helpful if you don't want to wander around endlessly or get lost. ;-)

In July 2005, I was in Alicante, Spain and did a one-week Spanish course at the Alhambra Instituto. I lived in a shared apartment with other students from the school. The course was good fun and I loved Alicante. Very beautiful place. <3
Unfortunately, when I got back home and wanted to upload my photos to my computer my SD card was somehow damaged and I lost most of my pictures. :-( I'm very glad that I managed to save at least some of them, but it's still only less than half of what I had originally... *sighs*

Random post is random...
May. 27th, 2011 02:45 pmYou know, you can get some pretty weird ideas at night. *gg* In this case I lay in bed and just couldn't sleep, so after a while I started browsing some old holiday pictures on my laptop. And then decided to do some random picspams with them here. :D So there will be pictures of Paris, Rome, Alicante, Berlin, Stuttgart, etc. soon. Or feel free to just ignore the posts if you're not interested. :p
Might even start with the first one tonight after work, if I'm not too knackered...

Crazy For You
May. 22nd, 2011 11:48 pmToday I was in the theatre to see "Crazy For You" again. \o/ This was my third time. :D
( Read more + a couple of pics )
Oh, and during intermission there was this guy standing near me who I swear looked exactly like Moss from The IT Crowd! :D Hair, glasses, and everything. It was quite spooky. *lol* I seriously considered taking a picture, but didn't dare because I think it would have been too obvious. Haha. And to finish this post, have a night shot of our opera house.
